From a see-through collaboration with Blondey McCoy to a Chinese New Year rendition to dressing up with your favorite Pokemon characters, the iconic shell-toe silhouette keeps upping the diversity of its lineage by the week.



Deviating from its louder commemorative takes found on the Solar Hu and Crazy BYW, adidas is set to release a mostly-white Superstar for the upcoming Chinese New Year. Men's/Women's Adidas Superstar Metallic gold further animates the design as it adds a glistening finish to branded elements on the tongue, heel tab, and lateral side. The most defining feature would be the embroidered trefoil patches applied to the hindfoot of the lateral side. These patches exhibit shades of pink and purple for a gradient effect while their overlapping positions create a shadowed look—a stylization of the trefoil logo that has appeared on both adidas apparel and footwear.
